Step-by-Step Counselling Process:-

Step 1: MCC Registration, Fee & Choice Filling

  • Visit mcc.nic.in.
  • Pay counselling fee & security deposit (AIQ general: ₹1,000 + ₹10,000; SC/ST/OBC/PwD: ₹500 + ₹10,000).
  • Fill & lock your college and course preferences within the deadline.

Step 2: Provisional & Final Seat Allotment

  • MCC processes choices based on rank and reservation.
  • Provisional allotment is released first, allowing candidates to raise objections.
  • After resolution, final allotment follows.

Step 3: Seat Acceptance & Reporting

  • Accept allotted seat online (free exit option if desired before final round).
  • Download allotment letter.
  • Report to allotted college in-person by deadline (usually within 3-5 days).

Step 4: MCC Rounds 2 & 3 + Mop-Up

  • If unhappy, participate in Round 2 & 3 using fresh choices.
  • Subsequent Mop-Up and Stray Vacancy rounds give additional chances to shift.

Step 5: State Counselling (85 % Seats)

  • State registration & choice filling around Late July.
  • Seat allotments across multiple state rounds.

Step 6: Stray Vacancy Rounds
